Addons

Add-ons are rentable extras that have their own availability — boats, pontoons, dock slips, ATVs, kayaks, equipment. Guests reserve them alongside a unit stay, or on their own if you allow standalone rentals.

The distinction that matters: an add-on is rented and returned, so it can only be in one place at a time and needs a calendar. A sale item is sold outright and just needs stock. If you would be upset to double-book it, it is an add-on.

New Addon creates one. Show Inactive includes add-ons you have deactivated. Click one to open its detail page.

Getting an add-on bookable

An add-on needs a rate for the season before it can be booked. Add-ons dropping out of the guest flow when a new season starts is almost always a missing rate rather than anything else — set them for everything at once on the Addon Rates grid.

Beyond that: assign taxes, check the calculation type matches how you hand it over, add photos, and group it with similar items on the Addon Groups page so guests see the options together.

To let guests rent add-ons without booking a unit — day-use boat hire, for instance — turn on Rent Addons Standalone in Booking settings.

Taking one out of service

Use a blackout for anything with an end date, like a boat out for servicing. Use Inactive status for something you are not renting any more at all.
