Stay Rule Detail

One stay rule in full: its name, minimum and maximum nights, which days guests may arrive, which days they may depart, and the season-and-unit combinations it applies to.

Most day-to-day editing happens on the Stay Rules list, where every rule is visible at once. This page is the direct link to one rule, and the place to manage its assignments from the rule’s side rather than the unit’s.

Reading the fields

Minimum nights is the shortest stay the rule allows; maximum nights the longest. Maximums are less common, but useful where a long stay would block a period you sell better in weekly blocks.

Arrival days and departure days are the pattern controls. Allowing arrivals only on Saturday and departures only on Saturday produces strict weekly turnover. Allowing arrivals Friday and Saturday with departures Sunday and Saturday is looser, and will leave more odd gaps.

Restricting departure days without restricting arrivals rarely does what people expect — guests simply arrive on a day that makes the allowed departure impossible, and the rule turns the booking away. Set both together.

Assignments

Which season-and-unit combinations the rule governs. A unit can carry several stay rules in a season, and the strictest combination applies.

Name rules for what they do — “Summer Saturday Turnover”, “Two-night Minimum” — because on the assignments grid the name is all you see when deciding whether a unit should have it.
